The Culinary Center of the Graphics Universe! CIFGA
Proposed Mono Rail Here are parts of the imagery we created along with Colorado Creative Multi-Media for CIFGA. The goal was to visualize the proposed MonoRail implamentation from DIA to Eagle County Airport, up the I-70 Corridor. Greg Baker of Colorado Creative MultiMedia, the videographer, shot the live action background plates, including the helecopter shots. We took the supplied preliminary CAD models, converted them and developed surfacing. Next we had to match the camera location in each shot to the camera in the synthetic animation software. Once we matched the lighting of each shot and animated the trains, we composited the final rendering into the background plates.
This animation was created in 1999 and holds the record for the most air play of any Pixel Kitchen production. It has played virtually every time the CIFGA proposal was in the news in Colorado. The proposal is very forward thinking but contrary to the present political atmosphere, which prefers to build more lanes for more autos, such as T-REX. One of the main arguements, was that it was a Disney ride. Having recently been able to ride the Monorail at Disney World, we can say that Colorado could do a lot worse. Moving large numbers of people is one of Disneys ongoing challange. Their monorail is comfortable and convient. services
